You’ll play a vital role in providing general classroom assistance across a range of subjects, as well as targeted support for pupils who speak Romanian as an additional language. The School is an inclusive and values-led All-Through School, serving pupils from Reception through to Sixth Form. Their Secondary Department provides a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum where pupils are encouraged to excel academically and personally. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support across a range of subjects in the Secondary Department
- Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum, with a focus on supporting those with Romanian as an additional language to ensure equal access to learning opportunities
- Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning interventions
- Promote inclusion, positive behaviour and high standards of learning in line with school policies
- Support the wider school community and contribute to a safe, respectful learning environment
Vetting Checks:
- Right to Work in the UK (No Limitations)
- Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (Child/Child & Adult Workforce)
- Reference checks covering the last 2 years of employment or education
Ideal Candidate:
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above) is desirable
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths is essential
- Fluent in both English and Romanian is essential
- Strong interpersonal and organisation skills
- Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Commitment to safeguarding in line with the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2025) statutory guidance
