1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Dudley

Twenty4seven Education are seeking reliable teaching assistants for schools in Dudley. Several schools we are working with are seeking candidates for long term positions. These positions are working on a 1-1 basis with children with additional needs. The ideal candidate needs to have had experience working with SEND children/adults. They must also be confident to deliver sessions set by the class teacher with the student.

The main responsibilities will include

·        Working 1:1 with one specific pupil

·        Supporting the class teacher

·        Helping SEND pupil to make progress in and out of the classroom

·        Liaising with school’s SENCO

·        Working in line with the school’s ethos and SEND policies

The candidate:

A teaching assistant qualification is desirable, preferably with specific SEND knowledge
Must have a desire to make a positive contribution in class
Must have a desire to make a difference to the progress- academic, social and/or personal- of pupils with SEN
Need a successful track record of working with pupils
Classroom-based experience is useful
