1:1 SEND TA – Brierley Hill – ASAP

Twenty 4 Seven Education are pleased to offer this immensely satisfying learning support role in an improving West Midlands primary school. The role is working on a one-to-one basis alongside a year five girl with ASD. This is a part time role, working three days per week during term time.

The Role

The school is looking for a hardworking, caring and dedicated individual to work one-to-one with a female student in year five who has ASD, supporting her in and out of the classroom and as directed by the classroom teacher and SENCO.

The main responsibilities will include

Working 1:1 with one specific pupil
Supporting the class teacher
Helping SEND pupil to make progress in and out of the classroom
Liaising with school’s SENCO
Working in line with the school’s ethos and SEND policies
The candidate:

A teaching assistant qualification is desirable, preferably with specific SEND knowledge
Must have a desire to make a positive contribution in class
Must have a desire to make a difference to the progress- academic, social and/or personal- of pupils with SEN
Need a successful track record of working with pupils
Classroom-based experience is useful
