Physics Teacher – Tonbridge – January

** Location: Tonbridge, Kent
** Start: January
** Placement: Full-time, Permanent
** All Girls Grammar School
** Pay rate: £130-£220

Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a full-time qualified, knowledgeable and methodical Physics Teacher for a reputable and excellent all girl’s Grammar School in Tonbridge, Kent. From January you will be teaching KS3-KS4 pupils (KS5 is desirable) on a permanent contract.

You will also be required to be a Form Tutor to an assigned group of students. You will need to promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and of the Tutor Group and liaise with the Pastoral Leader to ensure the implementation of the school’s support system.

Key Responsibilities:

·Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions
·Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
·Prepare and update subject materials
·Plan and teach well-structured differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum and the school’s curriculum policy
·Use a variety of delivery methods that will stimulate learning appropriate to student needs and demands of the syllabus
.Assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of students
·Give written/verbal and diagnostic feedback as required
·Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy and to encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework
·Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school’s behaviour policy
·Deploy any support staff effectively
·Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
·Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils’ achievements and well-being

Must have:

·Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
·Experience working within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 12 months of experience)
·Excellent subject knowledge
·Child DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
·Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
·Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2024) document
·Excellent classroom management
·Good communication skills
