**Relevant Teaching experience required
We are actively seeking a SEN Teacher a Secondary School in the Brent area.
We require a full-time SEN Teacher who is passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated to deliver fun, creative, interesting lessons designed to increase and stimulate independence through interaction and sensory engagement amongst students.
This role deals with children with moderate and severe needs. There may also be speech, language and communication difficulties.
Applicants must be willing to work with children who may have MLD/SLD/ASD (Moderate Learning Difficulties/ Severe Learning Difficulties/ Autistic Spectrum) as well as mental health and emotional needs. They must also have relevant and previous experience working with challenging behaviour-supporting children or adults.
Must have:
Experience Teaching SEN
Experience with challenging children (SEND, SEMH, CB or EBD)
Want a full-time work position
A calm, caring, considerate, compassionate manner and be very patient.
An understanding of challenging behaviour and safeguarding
Child and adult DBS check on update service or willing to complete a new one
Excellent knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of current legislation
Eligibility to work in the UK.
