Job Description

We are actively seeking SEN Learning Support Assistants in the Teynham area. Our client is a special needs school near Sittingbourne, specialising in learning disabilities. We require SEN TAs who are passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated to supporting children and young adults with ASC and complex needs. This school deals with children with moderate, severe and complex needs, but specialises in autism. There may also be speech, language and communication difficulties.

Applicants must be willing to work with children and young adults with ASC and complex needs.

This role is a full-time role long term in a school working 8.30 am till 3.30 pm. This role is an ongoing role and is term time

Main duties:

* You will support the class teacher with delivery of lessons
* You will follow the direction of the class teacher and support pupils either on a 1:1 or small group basis to support their learning
* You will be providing bespoke support to pupils with a wide range of abilities and needs, tailoring activities to ensure they engage with and complete tasks
* You will need to complete relevant administration tasks
The ideal candidate:

** Desire to gain experience working with children
** Demonstrate positive behaviour management
** Good communication and organisation skills
** Right to work in the UK
** Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. Candidates without an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will have to apply for a new one
