Job Description

Location: Tonbridge

The school are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their team in Tonbridge. The successful candidate will work closely with our SEN students, providing support and assistance to help them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

– Work with SEN students on a one-to-one or small group basis, providing support and assistance as needed
– Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, adapting materials and resources to meet the needs of individual students
– Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
– Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic success
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies

Requirements:

– Experience working with SEN students, preferably in a school setting
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong organisational and time-management skills
– A commitment to ongoing professional development
– A relevant qualification, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
