Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (One-to-One)

Location: Newham, London

Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary

Start Date: ASAP

A fantastic primary school in Newham is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be working one-to-one with a student with special educational needs, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the student in all aspects of their learning, including academic, social, and emotional development.
Developing and implementing individualized learning plans, in collaboration with the classroom teacher and SENCO.
Monitoring and assessing the student’s progress, and providing feedback to the classroom teacher and SENCO.
Encouraging positive behavior and social interaction, and supporting the student’s emotional well-being.
Liaising with parents and external agencies, as required.
Requirements:

Experience working as a teaching assistant in a primary school setting.
Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly in a one-to-one capacity.
Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support students with a range of SEND requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
