Behaviour Co-Ordinator – Kidderminster– ASAP

* Location: Kidderminster, Worcestershire
* Start date: ASAP
* Contract: Full Time – Fixed Term contract (11 months)
* Hours: 37 hours per week term time only plus 5 TED days
* Pay rate: Scale 4 Point 7 – 11 (Actual salary £17,184 – £18,601)

An inclusive and nurturing Special Needs School in Kidderminster is seeking an energetic, dedicated and resilient Behaviour Co-Ordinator to join their behaviour and pastoral team. This is a full time role starting ASAP on a Temp to Perm basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate individual who is willing to work hard to support the young people at the school. This is a new role with the right person taking responsibility for coordinating the schools behavioural response in line with their Positive Behaviour Policy.

The School:

Main duties:
The role will involve de-escalating challenging behaviour, providing interventions, tracking behavioural incidents around the school and assist in delivering/planning behaviour management training for teaching and support staff. You will be an integral part of the school, helping children shape their methods of communication into socially appropriate interactions, preparing them for success and happiness in life after school. You will be expected to be on call and provide support for pupils and staff at the point of need during the school day.

Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 months experience of working with children in an educational or similar setting
* Professional reference checks to cover the last 2 years
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to pay and apply for a new certificate
* Excellent knowledge of safeguarding children and young adults – you will need an up to date Safeguarding Training Certificate (we provide FREE Safeguarding Training)
