Cover Supervisor – SEN Schools – Birmingham – ASAP

Location: Lea Hall, Handsworth, Erdington, Kingstanding, Sutton Coldfield, Castle Bromwich, Selly Oak, Northfield, Kings Heath, Moseley, Shirley, Sheldon, Solihull and surrounding areas

Pay rate: £75-£85 per day

Twenty4Seven Education work with local Special Needs Schools for their staffing requirements. Our clients are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work for daily supply and short/long term roles in Birmingham.

It is a class based role where you will manage the classroom whilst the teacher is absent. You will be supervising and supporting special needs classes across all key stages & abilities delivering pre-set work. You will need to demonstrate good communication skills and be comfortable supporting any subject on the national curriculum. You will need to manage behaviour of all students and follow the school behaviour policy.

All pupils will have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) as they have been diagnosed with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and/or Social Emotional and Mental Heath Needs (SEMH).

Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 months experience of working with children/young people in an educational or similar setting
* Professional reference checks to cover the last 2 years
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to pay and apply for a new certificate
* Excellent knowledge of safeguarding children and young adults – you will need an up to date Safeguarding Training Certificate (we provide FREE Safeguarding Training)
