Design Technology Teacher – Coventry – September
A lovely Secondary School, located in Coventry are looking for a full time Design Technology Teacher to start September on a temp to perm contract. You will be teaching KS3/KS4 pupils a mixture of Resistant Materials, Electronics, Engineering, Woodwork and Product Design.

Your new role:
You will need to plan and deliver inspiring, rigorous and practical lessons. Ensure pupils use creativity and imagination to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs, wants and values. Pupils will need to acquire a broad range of subject knowledge and draw on disciplines such as mathematics, science, engineering, computing and art. You will need to encourage pupils to take risks, become resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable citizens. Through the evaluation of past and present design and technology, pupils will develop a critical understanding of its impact on daily life and the wider world.
The ideal candidate:
* Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QLTS)
* This role is also suitable for ECTs looking for a supportive School to complete their induction year
* Have good Design technology subject knowledge and experience of teaching across KS3 and KS4 in a UK school setting (KS5 is advantageous but not essential)
* Ability to inspire students in the classroom demonstrating an innovative teaching style
* Ability to teach mixed ability classes
* Monitor and assess pupils effectively to ensure pupil progress
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong classroom and behaviour management
