Music Teacher – Coventry – April

Twenty 4 Seven Education have an exciting opportunity for a creative and qualified Music Teacher to teach within a Secondary School in Coventry. This full time role is to start April until July in the first instance.

The School:

They believe that academic success is essential and goes hand in hand with spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. The School and Music Department want students to be inspired, excited and engaged in music. In KS3 students touch upon a vast array of styles and genres focusing on three key skills of performance, composition and listening. In KS4 students study Eduqas GCSE Music where they perform a solo and group piece of music, compose a piece of music to a brief and to their own brief. In addition to GCSE Music, BTEC Level 2 in Music is offered. Students learn about the music industry and how to become a professional musician.

Your new role:
You will need to plan and deliver creative and high quality lessons that engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. As pupils progress, they should develop a critical engagement with music, allowing them to compose, and to listen with discrimination to the best in the musical canon.

The ideal candidate:
*Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QLTS)
* Have good subject knowledge and experience of teaching across KS3 and KS4 in a UK school setting
*Be able to plan, deliver and mark engaging lessons
*Excellent communication skills
*Strong classroom and behaviour management
*A valid enhanced DBS check on the update service (or be willing to process one with us)
