School ICT Technician – Coventry – ASAP

Pay rate: £19,000-£23,000 per annum

A Secondary School in Coventry are seeking an ICT Technician for a full time permanent role starting ASAP.

The School is looking to appoint a reliable, enthusiastic ICT Technician to join their friendly team at the School. The ICT Technician will provide first line technical support to both students and staff. Alongside the IT Manager, the ICT Technician will support the maintenance and operation of the School’s ICT provision to provide an efficient quality service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
** Ensure dedicated ICT areas are ready for use each day and are in good working order
** Check hardware regularly and report any faults
** Adhere to ICT policies, including those relating to safeguarding and internet usage
** Assist with the installation and maintenance of hardware and software
** Update virus protection programs
** Assist with the maintenance of the School’s software security systems
** Maintain the Schools hardware database
** Maintain the Schools network printers
** Support and maintain the interactive whiteboards and projectors throughout the school
** Proactively assist staff in solving any ICT problems and to liaise with the ICT Manager and external agencies/companies as necessary

Successful candidates will need to have:
** Have good academic qualifications
** A good understanding of IT systems/usage and a willingness to further develop
** Be comfortable using Microsoft operating systems
** Have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with others
** Have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently
** Be a good problem solver and logical thinker
