SEMH Casual Learning Coach – Birmingham – ASAP

Location: Kitts Green, Tile Cross, Handsworth and surrounding areas

Salary: £75-85 per day

To fulfil the demand for daily and short/long term cover, we are now recruiting enthusiastic, caring, resilient and reliable Learning Coaches for SEN Schools catering for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) in Birmingham.

Teaching assistant requirements:
* Experience of working in a similar role (a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification would be advantageous)
* Experienced with SEMH students in a PRU, SEN, Mainstream school or similar setting
* Experience of assisting with the development and implementation of Educational Health  Care Plans (EHCP)
* Experience of using communication aids such as British Sign Language, Makaton or PECS is desirable
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Experience of supporting pupils with past trauma (knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) is admirable)
* Have the ability to effectively manage behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies
* Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to obtain a new certificate
