1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD)

**Location: Cardiff
**September Start till the end of the academic year
**Full-time Weekdays

Twenty4Seven Education is looking for a passionate and experienced teaching assistant to work in this incredible primary school located in a residential area of Cardiff. They are looking for a kind and caring teaching assistant who will work one-to-one with a pupil with autism spectrum disorder supporting them throughout their school day and encouraging their development academically and personally.

They are looking for a passionate and experienced teaching assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil with autism spectrum disorder and provide the best possible support for them.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working in September and will continue to the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will work term time on weekdays from 8:30-15:30. They will be working one-to-one with a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder supporting them throughout their school life working with the classroom teacher to develop the best system for supporting the child.

As a one-to-one TA you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with ASD
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further
Plan and put into action learning activities with the teacher
Support the classroom teacher

The successful candidate:

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have an understanding of how to support children with ASD
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have a good command of the English language
Experience working in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not required.
