Twenty 4 Seven Education are pleased to be able to offer this highly rewarding part time role as a one-to-one TA within a charming primary school in the RCT area.

The Role
This is a lovely opportunity for somebody looking for a rewarding, part time job working with SEN children. This role will be working one-to-one with a child in year one who has some behavioral needs. The hours are 9am to 12pm on weekdays, term time only. The school requires somebody who has some SEN experience.

As a one-to-one SEN TA, you will:
Work 1:1 with a year one pupil to help them to be engaged in lessons, access the curriculum and make progress, be it academic, personal or social
Get to understand the needs of the pupil you are working with so that you can support them in the best way possible
Prepare resources to support pupils’ learning
Be prepared to have conversations with teachers, SENCO or parents about pupil progress and how to support them
Sometimes work with small groups of pupils
Be prepared to support the class teacher in other ways or with other students

The candidate:
You must be calm, patient, compassionate and approachable
You must have a desire to make a difference to the wellbeing and progress of pupils with SEN
A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, preferably with specific SEND knowledge
You should have a successful track record of working with SEN children.
