Primary School Teaching Assistant

**Location: Cardiff
**Fulltime, Fixed Term
**September Start, to the end of the academic year

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this delightful and inviting Primary school located in a residential area in Cardiff. They are looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to work within their class as a general teaching assistant supporting the teacher and working with the children to complete learning activities.

The school

The school is dedicated to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment where each pupil can develop their confidence and academic skills. The school encourages their pupils to develop emotionally socially and academically and has created a rich and diverse curriculum that can encourage this growth. The school is run by a dedicated team of staff who work to provide an environment to support and enhance children’s learning, taking their individual needs and skills into account. They are looking for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant who will bring a positive and joyful attitude to the classroom and work to support each individual in the best way possible.

The role

The successful candidate will begin working in September full-time until the end of the academic year with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will be working Monday to Friday during term time from 8:30 to 15:30.

As a Teaching Assistant you will:

Support the classroom teacher in preparing and teaching educational activities
Work in small groups leading activities set by the teacher
Get to know the pupils in the class and learn how to support them academically, socially, and personally
Discuss and put into action strategies to support the pupils with the teacher
Assist the pupils in accessing the curriculum

The successful candidate:

Will be caring, passionate, and hard-working
Will have an understanding of how to support pupils
Will have a good command of the English language
Will be able to implement and adapt learning activities discussed with the teacher
Experience working in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Additional qualifications are also desirable but not essential
