Twenty 4 Seven is thrilled to be working alongside this inviting and caring Primary school located in a residential area in Caerphilly seeking a Qualified Teaching Assistant. The school is seeking a caring and passionate Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil in the foundation phase with Downs Syndrome.

They are looking for a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant to provide support for one pupil with down syndrome.

The role

The successful candidate will be given a fixed term with the possibility to become a permanent member of staff. This is a term-time role from 8:30 to 15:30 on weekdays excluding school holidays. The successful candidate will work on a one-to-one basis supporting a foundation phase pupil with Down Syndrome.

As a 1:1 TA you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with Down Syndrome
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in day-to-day school life
Get to know the pupil and work alongside the teacher to support the pupil
Complete learning activities with the pupil


The successful candidate:

Will be kind, passionate, and dedicated
Will have an understanding of how to support children with Down Syndrome
Will have experience working within an educational setting.
Will have a good command of the English language.
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have Teaching Assistant qualifications or SEN qualification
