1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Twenty4Seven Education is delighted to be working alongside this lovely and friendly primary school located in a residential area of Cardiff. They are looking for a compassionate and dedicated teaching assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil with additional learning needs.
The School
The school is run by a team of hardworking staff who have worked throughout the pandemic to continue to provide their students with a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment. The school works in partnership with its community to provide a rich and in-depth curriculum that they can be proud of. They work to engage and encourage students as they develop and grow. Throughout the academic year, they strive to develop pupils’ confidence and skills. Understanding each individual student and work with the students to support them in the best way possible. They are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil on a one-to-one basis with a pupil with additional learning needs.
The Role
The successful candidate will begin working in September and continue to the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will be working weekdays during term time from 8:30 to 15:30. They will be working one-to-one with a pupil with additional learning needs and will be supporting them throughout the varying aspects of their academic journey.
As a one-to-one TA you will:
Work one-to-one with a pupil with additional learning needs
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in making progress not only academically but also socially and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further in the best way possible
Provide feedback to pupils to assist their development under the guidance of the teacher
Discuss and put into action strategies to support the pupil with the teacher
The successful candidate:
Will be compassionate, enthusiastic, and caring
Will have experience working in similar roles with individuals on a one-to-one basis
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have a good command of the English language
Will be able to implement and adapt learning activities
Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential
