1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD)

**Location: Caerphilly 

**ASAP Start

**Fulltime

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this lovely primary school located in Caerphilly. They are looking for a kind and passionate teaching assistant to work within their year 2 class working one to one with a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder. They are looking for a teaching assistant who will be a dedicated and supportive presence and encourage the child to learn and develop.

The school is run by a team of staff who are dedicated to providing a stimulating and enjoyable learning experience for all of their pupils dedicating their time and effort to creating activities that help the pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. They are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will be dedicated to supporting pupils and creating an enjoyable learning environment.

The Role 

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible, working weekdays during term time from 8:30-15:30. They will be working as a one-to-one with a year 2 pupils with Autism spectrum Disorder, supporting them throughout the school day and encouraging them to develop academically, personally, and socially.

As a Teaching Assistant you will: 

Work one-to-one with pupils with ASD
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further
Plan and put into action learning activities with the teacher
Support the classroom teacher

 

The successful candidate:

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have an understanding of how to support children with global delay
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have a good command of the English language
Will have a minimum of 3 months of experience
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not required.
