Job Description

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD) 

**Location: Caerphilly

**January Start

**Fulltime 

**3 Months of relevant experience required

 

Twenty4Seven Education is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in the year 3 class with Autism Spectrum Disorder. They will be working in this fantastic primary school located in Caerphilly, working with the classroom teacher to create an enriching and accessible learning environment for the pupil.

The school is run by a dedicated team of staff who dedicate themselves to always improving and growing their teaching abilities and are looking for a teaching assistant who will bring this passion and dedication to learning to the classroom.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working in January and continue through to the end of the academic year with the possibility of this extending. They will be working term-time from 8:30 to 15:30 on weekdays working 1:1 with a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

As a one-to-one SEN TA you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further in the best way possible
Support the classroom teacher and work with small groups of pupils

 

The successful candidate:

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
3 Months minimum of experience in relevant roles
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
