1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD) 

**Location: Caerphilly 

**ASAP Start 

**Full time 

**3 Months of relevant experience required 

Twenty4Seven Education is looking for a passionate and experienced teaching assistant to work in this lovely and inviting primary school located in Caerphilly. They are looking for a teaching assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a pupil with autism spectrum disorder supporting them through their everyday school life and assisting them in accessing the curriculum.

The School 

The school is run by a team of hardworking staff who have worked throughout the pandemic to continue to provide their students with a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment. The school works in partnership with its community to provide a rich and in-depth curriculum they can all take pride in. They work to engage and encourage students as they develop and grow. They strive to develop pupils’ confidence and skills throughout the academic year. Understanding each individual student and working with the students to support them in the best way possible. They are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil with ASD assisting them in accessing the curriculum and supporting them in their everyday school life.

The Role 

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year with the possibility of this extending. They will be working Monday to Friday during term time from 8:30-15:30 working with a pupil with ASD supporting them throughout the school day and assisting them in accessing the curriculum.

As a one-to-one SEN TA you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with autism spectrum disorder
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further in the best way possible
Support the classroom teacher and work with small groups of pupils

The successful candidate:

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
3 Months of relevant experience required
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
