Job Description

 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant 

**Location: Cardiff

**ASAP Start 

**Full time 

**3 Months of relevant experience 

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this incredible primary school located in Cardiff. They are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a year 3 pupil with behavioural needs supporting them throughout their everyday school life accessing the curriculum and socialising with peers.

The School

Their dedicated team of staff is looking for someone who will work to the best of their ability to continue this supportive and stimulating environment and provide care for the pupils.

The Role 

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year. They will be working Monday to Friday during term time from 8:30-15:30 they will be working on a one-to-one basis with a year 3 pupil with behavioural difficulties. They will be working alongside the classroom teacher to support the pupil in their academic personal and social development.

As a one-to-one SEN TA you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with behavioural difficulties
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further in the best way possible
Support the classroom teacher and work with small groups of pupils

 

The successful candidate:

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
3 Months of relevant experience required
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
