1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Global Delay)

**Location: North Cardiff
**Full-time, Fixed term
**September Start

Twenty4Seven Education is looking for an experienced teaching assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil with global delay in this incredible school located in the north of Cardiff. They are looking for a passionate and caring teaching assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil with Global delay, supporting them in their day-to-day school life and assisting them in developing academically, socially, and personally.

Their dedicated team of staff is looking for someone who will work to the best of their ability to continue this supportive and stimulating environment and provide care for the pupils. They are looking for a teaching assistant who will be dedicated to supporting their student on a one-to-one basis in the best way possible.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working in September and will continue to the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will work on a one-on-one basis with a pupil with Global delay working with them during class as well as during outdoor play supporting them throughout the school day and working with the teacher to encourage academic, social, and personal development.

As a One-to-one Teaching Assistant you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with Global delay
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further
Work with the pupil and teacher to plan and put into action systems to help the pupil
Support the classroom teacher and work in small groups completing learning activities set by the teacher

The successful candidate:

Will be caring, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
Experience working in a similar role
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential (Training qualifications are available at discounted rates)
