Job Description

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Speech and Language) 

**Location: Cardiff

**ASAP Start 

**Fulltime 

**3 Months of relevant experience required 

Twenty4Seven Education is looking for an experienced and passionate teaching assistant to work in this lovely primary school located in a residential area in Cardiff. They are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a pupil with speech and language difficulties supporting them in their everyday learning and development.

They are looking for a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant to provide support for a pupil with speech and language difficulties.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible and continue through to the end of the academic year with the possibility of this extending. They will be working term-time from 8:30 to 15:30 Monday to Friday working 1:1 with a pupil with speech and language difficulties.

As a one-to-one SEN TA you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with speech and language difficulties
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further in the best way possible
Support the classroom teacher and work with small groups of pupils

 

The successful candidate:

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
3 Months minimum of experience in relevant roles
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
