1:1 Teaching Assistant (ASD) 

**Location: North Cardiff

**ASAP Start

**Full time 

**3 months minimum of relevant experience required 

 

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this joyful and inviting primary school located in the North of Cardiff. They are looking for a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil with Special Educational Needs in their year 1 class.

The School

The school is a welcoming place that puts its students at the center of everything they do. The school is run by a dedicated team of staff who work to put the students first and provide a stimulating and inspiring environment where they are given a range of learning activities that supports them as they develop academically, socially, and personally. They are looking for a teaching assistant who will be proactive and supportive in their year 1 class working on a one-to-one basis with a pupil with autism spectrum disorder.

The Role 

The successful candidate will begin work as soon as possible working weekdays during term time from 8:30-15:30. They will be working one-to-one with a pupil with ASD and will support the pupil in their everyday school life.

As a one-to-one SEN TA you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with autism spectrum disorder
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further
Work with the pupil and teacher to plan and put into action systems to help the pupil
Support the classroom teacher when needed

The successful candidate

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
Will have a minimum of 3 months of relevant experience
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
