Foundation Phase 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

**Location: Caerphilly
**September Start,
**Full-time, Fixed Term

Twenty4Seven Education is delighted to be working alongside this delightful primary school located in Caerphilly. They are looking for a kind and passionate teaching assistant who will work within their foundation phase class working one-to-one with a child with Special Educational Needs and assisting them in their day-to-day life.

The school

They work to create confident and enthusiastic learners who get involved in all learning activities. The school works alongside their learners and their carers to build a school and curriculum that they can all take pride in. They are looking for a teaching assistant who will work one-to-one with a pupil with SEN providing support and guidance and proving the best for the student.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin work in September and will continue until March 2023 with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will work term-time on weekdays from 8:30-15:30 excluding the school holidays. The successful candidate will work one-to-one supporting a foundation phase pupil with Special Educational Needs.

As a one-to-one Teaching Assistant you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with special educational needs
Assist pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further in the best way possible
Support the classroom teacher and work with small groups of pupils

The successful candidate:

Will be kind, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
Experience working in a similar role is desirable.
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
