High Level Teaching Assistant

Twenty 4 Seven are thrilled to be working alongside this wonderful and joyful primary school located in a residential area in Bridgend. They are looking for a dedicated and passionate high-level Teaching Assistant to work within their team of staff to provide support in the classroom and with individual students.

The school

The school is a bustling primary school that is part of a tight-knit community in Bridgend and strives to be a school that its community is proud of. The school is dedicated to creating a stimulating and immersive learning environment for their pupils and works to help each individual develop academically and socially. They encourage their pupils to learn through exploration building their pupil’s confidence and making them more inquisitive. They are looking for someone who will continue this passion for education and support the pupils in everything they do.

The Role

The successful candidate will be given a fixed-term contract starting in September and continuing through to the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will be working term-time from 8:30 to 15:30 on weekdays supporting the classroom teacher and completing set learning activities with small groups of children.

As an HLTA you will:
Assist the pupils in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupils in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further in the best way possible
Ensure the pupil’s safety and supervise and assist their access to learning activities
Support the classroom teacher and work with small groups of pupils
Work in small groups and 1:1 with pupils completing set learning activities with pupils
Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities alongside the classroom teacher

The successful candidate:

Will be enthusiastic, approachable, and passionate
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have a good command of the English language
Will be able to implement and adapt learning activities
Experience working in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Teaching assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
