Job Description

We are currently working alongside a Secondary school to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced Teaching Assistant to work with pupils in KS3 and KS4 with a variety of Additional Learning Needs and Special Educational Needs. The school is looking for a teaching assistant to start as soon as possible with the potential to go long term.

The school has a very good reputation and is looking for someone who will bring optimism and a positive attitude to the school. The right applicant will have experience working with SEN students and be prepared to work with children with challenging behaviour. They must be patient, empathetic and resilient; as well as having a true passion for working with children who need additional support.

Overview:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant role to start on a full-time basis
  • £60-75 per day
  • Long term contract
  • School based in Newport
  • Monday – Friday

 

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have experience working with children in a classroom setting
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be calm, caring and resilient
  • SEN experience
