Learning Support Assistant

**Location: Neath
**September Start
**Full-time, Fixed Term

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working with this joyful and inviting primary school located in Neath. They are looking for a learning support assistant to work within their foundation phase class and provide support for the classroom teacher and with small groups with occasional one-to-one roles.

The school’s team of dedicated staff works alongside both pupils and parents to create a rich and stimulating learning environment and curriculum. They are looking for a learning support assistant who will bring their own passion for learning and encourage the pupils in all aspects of their school life.

The role

The successful candidate will begin working in September for a fixed term and will work term-time on weekdays from 8:30 to 15:30. They will work within the foundation phase class and will support the classroom teacher as well as leading small groups of pupils completing learning activities set by the teacher.

As an LSA you will:

Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupils in developing academically, socially, and personally
Lead learning activities within small groups
Work one-to-one with pupils to support their learning development
Support the classroom teacher in class management
Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities with the classroom teacher
Discuss with the pupils and teacher how best to support the pupils development


The successful candidate:

Will have good numeracy and literacy skills – GCSE Maths and English
Will have previous experience working within an educational setting
Will have a basic understanding of child development and learning
Ability to use basic technology
Ability to relate well to children and adults and respond appropriately
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
