Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD)

**Level 3 Child Care or Equivalent

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working with this inviting and modern primary school located in Neath. They are looking for a qualified teaching assistant to work in their Year 2 class supporting a pupil with autism spectrum disorder on a one-to-one basis.

The School

They are looking for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant who will help support a pupil with ASD on a one-to-one basis developing their academic social and personal skills.

The Role

The successful candidate will be given a fixed-term contract starting in September and continuing through to the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will be working term-time from 8:30 to 15:30 on weekdays.

As a one-to-one TA you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with ASD
Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further
Plan and put into action learning activities with the teacher
Support the classroom teacher

The successful candidate:
Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have an understanding of how to support children with ASD
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have a good command of the English language
