Qualified Teaching Assistant

**Location: Neath
**September Start
**Level 3 Childcare or equivalent

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this lovely primary school located in Neath. They are looking for a qualified teaching assistant who will work as a general teaching assistant supporting the classroom teacher and working with the children to help them develop academically and personally.

They are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will contribute to this goal of creating an enjoyable and dedicated learning environment both within and outside of the classroom.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working in September working till the end of the academic year with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will be working term time on weekdays from 8:30 to 15:30. They will be working as a general teaching assistant supporting the classroom teacher and encouraging pupils to develop academically and personally throughout the school year.

As a Teaching Assistant you will

Support the classroom teacher in preparing and teaching educational activities
Work in small groups leading activities set by the teacher
Get to know the pupils in the class and learn how to support them academically, socially, and personally
Discuss and put into action strategies to support the pupils with the teacher
Assist the pupils in accessing the curriculum

The successful candidate:

Will be caring, passionate, and hard-working
Will have an understanding of how to support pupils
Will have a good command of the English language
Will be able to implement and adapt learning activities discussed with the teacher
Will have a Level 3 Childcare or equivalent
