Experienced Teaching Assistant

**Location: Bridgend
**September Start
**Minimum of 1 Year experience needed

Twenty4Seven Education is looking for an experienced and passionate teaching assistant to work within this lovely primary school located in a residential area of Bridgend. They are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to work within their year 5 class supporting the classroom teacher and supporting each pupil in the best way possible to help them all reach their full potential.

They are looking for a teaching assistant who will be just as passionate about learning and will put the safety and well-being of the pupils above anything else.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin in September and will continue till the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will be working during term times on weekdays from 8:30 to 15:30 supporting the classroom teacher in the Year 5 class.

As a Teaching Assistant you will:

Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupils in developing academically, socially, and personally
Lead learning activities within small groups
Work one-to-one with pupils to support their learning development
Support the classroom teacher in class management
Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities with the classroom teacher
Discuss with the pupils and teacher how best to support the pupils development


The successful candidate:

Will have good numeracy and literacy skills – GCSE Maths and English
Will have at a minimum 1-Year previous experience working within an educational setting
Will have a basic understanding of child development and learning
Ability to use basic technology
Ability to relate well to children and adults and respond appropriately
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
