Secondary Teaching Assistant 

**Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf 

**ASAP Start 

**Fulltime 

**3 Months of relevant experience required

 

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this modern and inviting secondary school located in Rhondda Cynon Taf. They are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work with a group of pupils assisting them in accessing the curriculum and supporting them in their school life.

They are looking for a teaching assistant who will bring a passion for learning and who will be a supportive and enthusiastic presence for the pupils.

The Role 

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year with the possibility of this being extended. They will be working term time Monday to Friday from 8:30-15:30 working with a group of pupils supporting them throughout the school day and assisting them in accessing the curriculum.

As a teaching assistant you will:

Work in small groups with pupils with additional learning needs
Supporting pupils in their everyday school life
Assisting the pupils in accessing the curriculum
Get to know the pupils and learn how to support them academically, socially, and personally
Discuss and put into action strategies to support the pupils with the teacher
Assist pupils in making progress not only academically but also socially and personally

 

The successful candidate:

Will be enthusiastic, dedicated, and caring
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with additional learning needs
Will have a good command of the English language
Will have a minimum of 3 months of relevant experience
Will be able to implement and adapt learning activities discussed with the teacher
Additional qualifications are desirable but not essential.
