SEN Teaching Assistant 

**Location: Caerphilly 

**ASAP Start 

**Full time 

**Minimum of 3 Months of relevant experience required

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this friendly and inviting primary school located in Caerphilly. They are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in their resource base working with pupils with special educational needs with a variety of needs and abilities.

The School 

The school is run by a team of hardworking staff who have worked throughout the pandemic to continue to provide their students with a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment. The school works in partnership with its community to provide a rich and in-depth curriculum they can all take pride in. They work to engage and encourage students as they develop and grow. They strive to develop pupils’ confidence and skills throughout the academic year. Understanding each individual student and working with the students to support them in the best way possible. They are looking for a Teaching Assistant who will be dedicated to helping students within their resource base and assisting them in their everyday learning experience.

The Role 

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year with the possibility of this extending. They will be working Monday to Friday during term time from 8:30-15:30 working within the resource base supporting children with special educational needs and assisting them throughout the school day.

As an SEN TA you will:

Work one-to-one with pupils with special educational needs
Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum
Assist pupils in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further in the best way possible
Support the classroom teacher and work with small groups of pupils

 

The successful candidate:

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a good command of the English language
Will have a minimum of 3 months of relevant experience
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
