Teaching Assistant 

**Location: Caerphilly

**ASAP Start

**Fulltime 

**3 Months of relevant experience required 

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this lovely primary school located in Caerphilly. They are looking for a teaching assistant to work within their early years class supporting the classroom teacher and working with pupils who require extra support.

The school is run by a dedicated team of staff who work to put the students first and provide a stimulating and inspiring environment where they are given a range of learning activities that supports them as they develop academically, socially, and personally. They are looking for a teaching assistant who will be supportive and caring for their students and help them in their everyday school life.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year. They will be working on weekdays during the school term time from 8:30-15:30. They will be supporting the classroom teacher of the early years class and working with pupils who require extra support.

As a Teaching Assistant you will: 

Supervise and provide support for the pupils within the classroom
Assist the development of individuals in both an academic and personal capacity
Get to know the pupils and develop methods for supporting them within the classroom
Provide feedback to pupils to assist their development under the guidance of the teacher
Assist the classroom teacher with planning and deliverance of learning activities
Discuss and put into action strategies to support pupils with the teacher
Promote good pupil behaviour and deal with conflict promptly

The successful candidate will have: 

Good numeracy and literacy skills – GCSE Maths and English
Previous experience of working with children
Basic understanding of child development and learning
Ability to use basic technology
Ability to relate well to children and adults and respond appropriately
Good interpersonal and communication skills
3 months of relevant experience
