Teaching Assistant

**Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf
**September Start
**Full time fixed term

Twenty4Seven Education are thrilled to be working alongside this inviting and friendly primary school located in Rhondda Cynon Taf. They are looking for a passionate and friendly teaching assistant to work within their year 3 class as a general teaching assistant supporting the classroom teacher and helping provide a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment.

The school

They are looking for a passionate teaching assistant who will work within their class and support their classroom teacher, they are looking for someone who will get stuck in and will push each individual to reach their full potential.

The Role

The successful candidate will begin working in September and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will work weekdays during term time from 8:30 to 15:30 within their year 3 class supporting the classroom teacher and assisting pupils in their day-to-day school life.

As a Teaching Assistant you will:

Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupils in developing academically, socially, and personally
Lead learning activities within small groups
Work one-to-one with pupils to support their learning development
Support the classroom teacher in class management
Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities with the classroom teacher
Discuss with the pupils and teacher how best to support the pupils development


The successful candidate:

Will have good numeracy and literacy skills – GCSE Maths and English
Will have previous experience working within an educational setting
Will have a basic understanding of child development and learning
Ability to use basic technology
Ability to relate well to children and adults and respond appropriately
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
