Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Art Teacher to join the team. As an Art Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the artistic talents of our students and inspiring their creativity. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative art lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop their artistic skills, knowledge, and appreciation.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver dynamic and inspiring art lessons that cater to the needs and abilities of students.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
Assess and provide constructive feedback on students’ work, helping them to improve and reach their potential.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and activities that integrate art with other subjects.
Organize and participate in extracurricular art-related activities, such as art clubs and exhibitions.
Keep up-to-date with developments in art education and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Foster a love for art and creativity among students and encourage them to explore their artistic interests.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Degree in Art Education or a related field.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for art and creativity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Experience in teaching art at the secondary school level is desirable but not essential.
