Job Description

Behaviour Mentor- Starting ASAP- Full-Time- Thanet

£60-£80 a day

Twenty4seven Education are currently supporting a school in Thanet area to find a behaviour mentor/learning support assistant that has the ability to support pupils with SEND/SEMH needs across various ages. The right candidate will have the ability to grow strong and positive relationships, and build good techniques to moderate behaviour and help the pupils enjoy their school day.

Candidate Specification

·        Previous experience supporting Children or young adults with behavioural issues or SEND

·        Knowledge of SEND

·        have a dedicated, open minded and growth mindset

·        Experience that is dated within the last 5 years

·        Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident

·        Willing to have a DBS

 

The main duties within the role will be:

·        Working 1-2-1 or with small groups for inventions

·        Strong knowledge of behaviour management will be key

·        Supporting children with reading, writing and phonics

·        Liaising with the class teacher around pupil progress

·        Helping the class teacher to engage SEN pupils in lessons

·        Assisting the class teacher with the setup of the classroom
