Job Description

At Twenty4Seven Education we are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Coventry, starting in September 2023. Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective computer science lessons to students across different year groups, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources.
Develop and implement a comprehensive computer science curriculum that aligns with the national curriculum and promotes creativity, critical thinking, and computational skills.
Nurture students’ interest in computer science through exciting practical projects, coding challenges, and real-world applications.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported and motivated to reach their full potential.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to facilitate their growth and development.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate cross-curricular initiatives and extracurricular activities related to computer science.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in the field of computer science and technology, incorporating relevant advancements into the curriculum.
Requirements:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in computer science or a related field.
A solid understanding of computer science principles, programming languages (such as Python, Java, or C++), algorithms, data structures, and software development methodologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
Demonstrated experience in delivering computer science education, preferably at the secondary school level.
A passion for staying current with advancements in the field and integrating technology into the classroom.
Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
