General Teaching Assistant – Foundation Phase

I am working closely with a school based in the Vale of Glamorgan who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to start ASAP! (full time)

The school we are working with are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, hard-working, trustworthy and kind Teaching Assistant to support pupils’ learning across the school. In this role you will provide general classroom support, assisting the teacher with a range of classroom activities.  Previous experience is advantageous but is not essential as we believe in utilising transferable skills. If you are seeking a change from a different career this could be the rewarding job that you are looking for.

Desirable skills or experience –

Excellent organisational skills and be able to work from classroom planning
The ability to manage groups of pupils effectively
Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
The ability to build good relationships with staff and pupils
Previous experience of working with young people

The school is looking to start the candidate the first week after October half term. This job role is a temporary position. However, in some cases a permanent contract can arise at a later date.
