Math Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Slough London

Salary: £23,837 per annum (actual salary based on 40hrs per week, 41 weeks per annum)

Twenty Four Seven Education are currently working with a fully inclusive comprehensive school located in Slough, London and are searching for innovative and energetic graduate math’s teaching assistant. We are looking to appoint a math graduate teaching assistant who will provide support learning and raise attainment of pupils KS3 and KS4. The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of academic teaching, learning and behavioural polices and showcase a calm and patient manner within the candidate is essential, as it is a nurturing approach.

If you hold a degree in Maths, then this could be the ideal position for you. Main responsibilities:

Support teaching staff with the development of appropriate resources for the use in individual/ small group sessions to support the learning of targeted students in Key Stage 3 and 4.
Provide one to one and small group math’s tuition
Highlight any concerns about student’s progress, behaviour or well being
Communicate as appropriate with parents/carers and staff regarding students’ work and progress
Attend Individual Tutorial days and Parents’ Evening as appropriate
Participate in relevant training and development activities, including observations
Liaise effectively with tutors, Head of Year, SLT, and respond promptly to their concerns and queries
Requirement:

A good honours degree in English/Maths is desirable, If not, proven experience of work in a similar role and ability to provide effective support and Challenge to students up to at least KS4
The ability to communicate well with a variety of audiences including students, parents, teaching/non-teaching staff and outside agencies.
You must have the legal right to work within the UK
The position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
