Twenty 4 Seven Education have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, thought provoking, reliable and qualified Humanities Teacher to work within The Emscote School in Warwickshire. This Part time role is to start September on a permanent contract.

The School. Our students struggle within a mainstream setting and so our small nurturing environment is key to improve attendance, behaviours and attitudes towards learning. Many students attend Emscote with weak literacy and numeracy skills, and many have behaviour or attendance problems that must be addressed, so that they can access the curriculum provided. Our attention will be placed on removing such barriers to learning and addressing literacy, numeracy, behaviour and attendance matters so students can achieve well and succeed.

 

Your new role:
You will need to plan and deliver engaging Humanities  lessons across the key stages. You will also need to monitor and assess students to ensure pupil progress. The intention of the Humanities curriculum at this school is for students to gain a deeper understanding of  our everyday lives  from different viewpoints.  The school wants students to develop a greater understanding about how the study of Religion, Geography and History impacts the wider world, using research and data analysis. The study of humanities helps students gain vital knowledge about the foundations of society and our world.

The ideal candidate:
* Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QLTS)
* This role is also suitable for ECTs looking for a supportive School to complete their induction year
* Have good Humanities subject knowledge and experience of teaching across the key stages
* Be able to plan and deliver thought provoking lessons
* Monitor and assess pupils effectively to ensure pupil progress
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong classroom and behaviour management
