A popular and thriving SEN School requires an experienced Learning & Behaviour Mentor to join their hardworking and dedicated team, full time, term time only on a permanent basis. The job involves supporting pupils on an individual/group basis to develop their skills – including problem solving, understanding and being aware of other’s emotions and feelings, addressing barriers to learning and raising aspirations. You will support and implement the school’s positive behaviour policy, liaise with colleagues, parents/carers and other agencies to enable children to overcome barriers to learning.

The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate and understanding, flexible in their approach, have good behaviour management skills and have a good sense of humour. The successful applicant will need to have high standards of work ethic in terms of motivation, personal presentation, punctuality, professional standards and team work. Previous experience supporting children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) and/or moderate learning difficulties such as ASD and ADHD.
