Sports Coach – Coventry – ASAP

Twenty4Seven Education have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational, dedicated Sports Coach to teach at a Secondary School in Coventry. This role is to start ASAP

Your new role:
You will be responsible for advancing the students’ physical ability and knowledge of sports. They are responsible for the welfare of their students and for ensuring that students can gain the qualifications they need to advance their education or their desired career paths after school.

Supervising practical PE lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classes
Ensuring that children compete to their ability level and aren’t exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sports
Motivating school children to take up new sports or athletic pursuits
Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school year
Attending parents’ evenings and providing parents with comprehensive reports on their child’s progress
Training and coaching school sports teams to compete and succeed in nation-wide events
Transporting individual competitors, school teams and other teachers to and from school sporting events
Ensuring that students pass their practical and theoretical PE exams
The ideal candidate:
\* Have good subject knowledge and experience of teaching across KS3 and KS4 in a UK school setting
\* Be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons
\* Monitor and assess pupils effectively to ensure pupil progress
\* Excellent communication skills
\* Strong classroom and behaviour management
\*A valid enhanced DBS check on the update service (or be willing to process one with us)
