Secondary School Nurture Class Teaching Assistant 

**Location: Caerphilly

**ASAP Start 

**Fulltime 

**3 Months minimum of relevant experience required 

Twenty4Seven Education is delighted to work alongside this wonderful Secondary school. The school are looking for an experienced and caring Teaching Assistant to work within their Year 7+8 nurture class working with pupils with Primary level learning and additional learning needs. The successful candidate will be working on a one-to-one basis or in small groups with the pupils assisting them in their everyday learning and supporting them in their school life.

They are looking for a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant to work on a one-to-one basis providing support for the pupils day to day school life.

The Role 

The successful candidate will begin working as soon as possible and will be working Monday to Friday during term time from 8:30-15:30. They will be working one-to-one and in small groups  with pupils with SEN and will support the pupils in their everyday school life.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

Work one-to-one with a pupil with special educational needs
Work with small groups of pupils with additional learning needs
Assist the pupils in accessing the curriculum
Assist the pupils in making progress academically, socially, and personally
Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further
Work with the pupil and teacher to plan and put into action systems to help the pupil
Support the classroom teacher

 

The Successful Candidate

Will be patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
Will have experience working within an educational setting
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
Will have a minimum of 3 months of experience working within an educational setting
Will have a good command of the English language
Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable but not essential
