SEN Teaching Assistant – Rowley Regis – Part Time

Twenty4seven Education are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic candidate to work on at a welcoming Primary School in Rowley Regis.

For this role you will be responsible for a pupil who has additional needs. This pupil requires someone who has experience working with children with autism. It is important for the pupil to have structure and routine. This position is part time working from 8.30am to 12.10pm Monday to Friday (term time only).

The main responsibilities will include

·        Working 1:1 with one specific pupil

·        Supporting the class teacher

·        Helping SEND pupil to make progress in and out of the classroom

·        Liaising with school’s SENCO

·        Working in line with the school’s ethos and SEND policies

The candidate:

A teaching assistant qualification is desirable, preferably with specific SEND knowledge
Must have a desire to make a positive contribution in class
Must have a desire to make a difference to the progress- academic, social and/or personal- of pupils with SEN
Need a successful track record of working with pupils
Classroom-based experience is useful
