SEN Teaching Assistant- Sevenoaks-Starting 21st February 2022

Pay; £60-£80 a day

Long-term, full-time

We are interested in recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant who has experience of working in Early years and SEND education. This job role would be within a fabulous school based in Sevenoaks. You would be supporting all young people within the class, who have a diagnosis of ASD and complex learning needs. You would be assisting the class teacher in preparing the lesson materials and school equipment, supporting students with their growth and development, while helping manage class behaviour. Typical working hours will be Monday-Friday Term time.

We are actively seeking out exceptional SEN Teaching Assistants to join the team, to help them with getting their perfect job role with education.

Candidate Specification

·        Previous experience supporting Children or young adults with behavioural issues or SEND

·        Knowledge of SEND

·        have a dedicated, open minded and growth mindset

·        Experience that is dated within the last 5 years

·        Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident

·        Willing to have a DBS

The main duties within the role will be:

·        Working 1-2-1 or with small groups for inventions

·        Strong knowledge of behaviour management will be key

·        Supporting children with reading, writing and phonics

·        Liaising with the class teacher around pupil progress

·        Helping the class teacher to engage SEN pupils in lessons

·        Assisting the class teacher with the setup of the classroom
