Twenty 4 Seven Education are pleased to be working alongside a modern and inviting primary school in a residential area in the Vale of Glamorgan. The school is seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant to work one to one with a pupil with SEND within foundation phase.
The School
This role is offered in a recently built school with an intake of approximately 45 pupils per year group. This English-medium setting prides itself on its community feel, balanced and inclusive curriculum and the quality of the pastoral care on offer.
The Role
The successful candidate will be given a fixed term role, from September 2022 to March 2023, with the possibility of this becoming permanent. They will work term-time, from 08:30 to 15:30 on weekdays. They will work on a one to one basis supporting a foundation phase pupil with Global Delay.
Key responsibilities will include:
Working one to one with a pupil with Global Delay
Assisting pupil in accessing the curriculum
Assisting pupil in day to day school life
Supporting classroom teacher
The successful candidate:
Will have experience of working within an educational setting
Will have a good command of the English language
Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEND
May have experience of working in a similar role- this is desirable but not essential. Teaching Assistant qualifications are also desirable.
