Teaching Assistant 1-1 (Year 6) – Rowley Regis – January

A lovely school we are working with in Rowley Regis are seeking a 1-1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work with and support a pupil in year 6. There is an EHCP in place for this child who is working at a lower KS2 level. For this role the school are seeking to appoint a committed teaching assistant to work Monday – Friday 8.20am – 12pm.

This is a part time position in the first instance but may go to full time if the pupil’s timetable gets extended. This role is due to start in January.

The role:

·        Working 1:1 with pupil(s)

·        Working with small groups of pupils

·        Supporting the teacher

·        Helping SEND pupil to make progress and access the curriculum

The candidate:

·        A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, preferably with specific SEND knowledge

·        Must have a desire to make a positive contribution in class

·        Must have a desire to make a difference to the progress- academic, social and/or personal- of pupils with SEN

·        Need a successful track record of working with pupils

·        Classroom-based experience is useful
